Appearance

Height: 5 feet 6 inches

Hair: Blonde.
Build: Slim, but not 'stick thin'. She's got some curves to her.
Dress Style: Daphne, having been brought up a good little pureblood girl, is more than aware of the expectations put upon her when it comes to her attire. As such, when out and about anywhere her parents might see her (or hear about her exploits), she tends to dress 'as befits her station'; corsets, long skirts, fancy jewelery - all of which succeed in accelerating her percieved age to about 22, if she's lucky.

Naturally, at school, she tends to wear her uniform - though the odd addition (or subtraction) to it is not uncommon for her.

In her own time, however - if she's absolutely sure her parents won't hear about it - she tends to dress rather like a victorian toddler. Bloomers/lace and cotton drawers, bell shaped skirts, petticoats, corsets and blouses commonly attire her, along with an abundance of ribbon and lace. In this instance, her percieved age is more along the lines of 12. She likes to project innocence...especially since it's so ironic for her to do so. (She isn't. At all).

Personality

Daphne is an odd mix of adult and child. Forced to mature at an early age by her parents, in high-pressure social situations she is the perfect little lady, behaving well beyond her seventeen years. Whilst with her peers, she is still 'mature' (though in a less restrictive manner), but tends to let her hair down a bit more, occasionally coming off as a small, spoiled five year old. It is important to note that even when Daphne is indulging her child-like side (making daisy-chains, fondling moon-beams, whatever) she still has a keen sense of adult-hood about her, especially when it comes to romance and relationships.

Daphne is far from innocent, even though this is the appearance that she projects. She can be very manipulative (which comes from being so used to having things her own way), and is, in general, a very sexual person. She just likes to think she is less overt about it than some other members of her house who will remain nameless cough Theodore Nott cough.

Strengths: Has a tendency to get her own way, no matter what. Can be very charming and sweet.

Weaknesses: Has had very little suffering or hardship in her life, and is, therefore, not at all equipped to deal with it.

Quirks: I think dressing like a victorian five year old counts as a quirk.

General outlook on life: For Daphne, life is one huge bowl of cherries she didn't have to pay for, and will continually be replenished by other bowls of cherries she doesn't have to pay for.
That about says it all.

Psychology

Extrovert/Introvert: Daphne is a definite extrovert. She is less overt about her constant bids for attention, but nonetheless, she is making them. Just quietly.
Boggart Would Be: Herself, drowning. She has a huge fear of the water.
Patronus Would Be: It is unlikely Daphne could produce a patronus, even if she tried.

Daphne considers herself bi-curious.

Family

Parents: Monica Cathering Demetrious/Greengrass (Greek Decent)(Quite mad)(death eater), Rowan Talbot Greengrass (terminally spineless - metaphorically speaking).
Siblings: None, fortunately, although rumor has it the Greengrasses are trying for an heir.

Despite the fact that she is obviously batshit insane, or at least gearing up for the final sanity showdown, Daphne has a great deal of respect for her mother (well, as much as any teenager respects their parents). She truly believes her Mum is doing a spiffing job with the Death Eaters, and fancies it all as terribly glamarous.

She has more to do with her father, however, since he tends to remain at home 'being an academic' (which really translates to: taking a lot of baths under the pretence that it 'helps him to think'). She loves and hates her father - he is incredibly indulgent, and gives her everything that she wants, but she recognises that despite his supposed status as an academic, he is fairly brainless - especially in terms of common sense - and lets her mother walk all over him. She finds it quite hard to find any respect for him, and chiefly just uses him as a means to get what she wants.

History

Daphne's history has been rather predictable. Like most pureblood children, she was educated at home, by various governesses and tutors, until she received her Hogwarts letter and started her formal education at eleven. She was fast accepted in to the Slytherin 'in crowd' (it being no surprise that she'd ended up in that house, since her father is a Slytherin alumni), and formed part of the tight-knit 'girl gang', which basically constituted sitting around and bitching about people a lot.

The events of her schooldays, which most people regarded as terrible and shocking, haven't had much of an impact on her at all. The affair with Quirrell and the Philosophers Stone largely went over her head, as it wasn't widely publicised. If anything, she was rather excited about the Bassilisk/Heir of Slytherin business - it put her house in the spot-light, which was always nice, and she she was a pureblood she had nothing to fear from either the heir, or the giant snake. The murderer on the loose had little affect on her for a similar reason - she didn't see why a Death Eater would have any cause to harm her - besides, her mother had mentioned that as far as she knew, Sirius Black had never been a Death Eater, and probably hadn't murdered anybody, either.

The Triwizard Tournament bored her - excessive displays of physical prowess (of that manner) held no interest for her, and she found it tiresome having so many irritating French girls cluttering up the hallways.

As for Dumbledore's death...she'd be lying if she said she wasn't perhaps a little bit shocked, but she keeps that to herself. She certainly wasn't sad about it - politically, she recognises it as a good thing. It was, for Daphne, half thrilling and half terrifying to think how easily 'The Greatest Wizard Evar OMG' was overthrown.

Romantically, Daphne's had a brief fling with Harry Potter, a momentary indiscretion which amuses her, being as he is more or less the antithesis of everything she and her parents believe in. She has also been linked to Theodore Nott, but then again, who hasn't.
